10th ANNUAL CINEMADROME SWEDED FILM FEST

The 9th annual Cinemadrome Sweded Film Fest is upon us!  Here's a quick rundown of what to expect!

what is a sweded film

originating in the film 'Be Kind Rewind', sweded films are low-to-no budget DIY remakes of your favorite films

gather your team

no cap on team size! gather your friends, family, pets, teachers, consensual strangers (etc.) to be in your film! (18+ or parental consent required)

sign-up online

sign-ups begin Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 12pm. complete a short sign-up form, select your film, and get to makin' a movie!

go make a movie!

this is the fun part! you have until February 23 to complete your film. all special FX must be created on camera. get creative! cardboard and spray paint are your friend. no use of green screen or CGI permitted.

cut it down

films must be 1-6 minutes in length. some lite editing tricks are ok. sound fx/music must be created by the team. dust off the acoustic or hit up your musician friend!

come watch some movies!

screenings will take place Friday, March 7, at The Hipp Cinema and Saturday, March 8, at The Backyard. or watch from home on YouTube!

This event is open to filmmakers of all levels. It's a great jumping on point if you have any interest in making movies and a fun exercise for those that are more experienced! Feel free to contact us if you have questions!
