The Cinemadrome Cinematic Universe (CCU) was a "series" style event, premiering on July 28, 2018, with a live screening at The Backyard at Boca Fiesta/Palomino. Teams were tasked with creating a superhero film that fit within an overall narrative, a la the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but with original backstories, heroes and villains. Cinemadrome premiered the Prologue on June 28, at which point teams were able to create their hero, in order to have time to think about their powers, back story, costumes, etc. Cinemadrome premiered Episode One "Basic Man on the Hound" on July 12, 2018, at which time teams were given the full details to create their film.  Films were due July 22, 2018. All nine parts of the CCU were screened on July 28, 2018, at the Backyard.
